ADVANCED
As an advanced pianist you will have a good idea what sort of tone and touch you want from a piano. You will have established certain tastes depending on the style of music that you play.
We hope that you will find it beneficial to visit us where we can help you by explaining how voicing (toning) of hammers is carried out to alter the tone and how, for example, the way a piano feels to play i.e. the touch, relates to the dynamic force required from the pianist’s fingers as opposed to the static force measured by a technician by simply placing a weight on the key to see if it drops. It is the inertia within a piano action that has to do with whether or not a piano feels ‘heavy’ to play.
We have shown below some pianos that would suit the advanced pianist. Price range £2,450 upwards
